About Wells Bodyworks and Towing

The late Tony Wells started the business in 1974, literally in his own backyard. His staff was just himself, his wife Marlene, and former spray painter Alan Smart.

The staff of 24 at the large Campbell Street site now includes five who work on administration. Tony's son Mark has managed the business since 1994 and continues to build on the firm's reputation that quality always comes first.

Wells Bodyworks and Towing is the only panel shop in Tasmania accredited as a Standox Gold Club member. It is only one of a handful of businesses nationally to offer a lifetime warranty on all paintwork and re-finishing.

Wells Bodyworks is affiliated with both the Tasmanian Automobile Chamber of Commerce and the Victorian Automobile Chamber of Commerce.

Wells Bodyworks has an ongoing commitment to training for its already skilled and experienced staff. All staff have won an award at some stage of their formal training.Training does not end with TAFE - Wells Bodyworks regularly sends key staff to specialist training courses and seminars to ensure we are abreast of new techniques and emerging trends in equipment and repair technologies.

Our large staff complement ensures clients receive the very best service possible.
